Welcome to Summercon.ORG

Summercon is one of the oldest hacker conventions, and the longest running such conference in America. It helped set a precedent for more modern "cons" such as H.O.P.E. and DEF CON, although it has remained smaller and more personal. Summercon has been hosted in cities such as Pittsburgh, St. Louis, Atlanta, New York, Washington, D.C., Austin, Las Vegas, and Amsterdam.

Final Speaker Update

May 26th, 2016

Our lineup has been set!

It is with great pleasure that we announce Dr. Matthew Green will be speaking at Summercon! For those unaware, Dr. Green is a respected cryptographer and security technologist who has over fifteen years of industry experience in computer security.

It’s time we rattle a few cages and poke some holes in encrypted messaging systems. Dr. Green will be diving deep into the most popular secure messaging platforms (and the holes that allowed him to completely decrypt them) in his talk, Not-so-secure Instant Messaging.

We can’t wait to see you and all our speakers this summer! Check back soon for more updates and news.

Edit: A tentative schedule has been posted! It might still require some fine-tuning as we get closer to July.
