Points/Sights of Interest

There are a few sights of interest one may want to see while in Atlanta.

Brewery Tours
Pink Pony Gentleman's Club
The Cheetah
Blake's Bar & Transvestite Shows
The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta
Buckhead bar and club district

Brewery Tours
The two Atlanta breweries both have "tours" on Friday, and one has a tour Sunday. By "tour" we mean pay ~$7 and drink as much as you can in 2 hours while enjoying the views of local local frats and coeds, and maybe actually hitting up a tour of how beer is made. They are both about the same traveling distance from the hotel, you are best off having access to a car (carpool!).

Pink Pony Gentleman's Club
Those those new to Atlanta, the city and surrounding areas offer several moral deficient and clothing deficient bars. The Pony is one of the most popular establishments, ends to be cheaper, and has more "accidental contact" than some clubs closer to the con hotel. Located a few miles north of the hotel, this is defiantly a carpool trip. Hit the ATM before hand.

Drinks till 2am, Cover increases every hour

Cheetah Lounge
Yet another Gentleman's club, this place is a mild walking distance from the con hotel. While the ladies tend to be of a higher caliber than most other clubs, thee is defiantly less sketchiness than the other places. Prices can get steep, and the strict dress code may be a problem for some con attendees.

Blake's Bar & Transvestite Shows
Every night you will be in Atlanta, Blake's on the park will be holding one of an assortment of transvestite or transsexual pageants inside the bar. These weekly occurrences feature mostly very talented and famous women. Blake's is a "normal clothing" popular gay bar located a little more than a block East of the con hotel (It is the closest non-jock, non-hotel bar). Shows are at 11pm most nights, check the website for which show happens on which night. Straight people are welcome to come.

Doors open till 4pm Friday

Buckhead bar and club district
Though you might remember the wild clubs and bars in the Buckhead area, that is simple a matter of history. Local millionaires and rich snobs formed a coalition to buy out all the bar leases, tear down all the buildings, and build boring boutique shops. While some bars and clubs reopened many miles out of the city, there is no central Atlanta party district anymore.
